I'm getting my hair cut tonight and I want it short and cute/spunky. My hair is thick and wavy/curly, and I have bangs that I would like to keep. Suggestions?Whats the best short haircut to get for someone with thick wavy hair and bangs?
Unfortunately, those of us with thick, wavy hair have a hard time pulling off shorter hairstyles. If you cut your hair too short, it will just get even more wavy and thick. Whereas, if you let it grow out, it will appear straighter. Ask a professional hairstylist what kind of styles work best with thick, wavy hair. I dry my hair with a round brush and straighten it everyday. Over time, this has trained my hair to be straighter and much more cooperative.
The best thing to do is talk to your stylist.
Not everyone can pull over every hairstyle, it all depends on the type of hair you have.Whats the best short haircut to get for someone with thick wavy hair and bangs?
keep it long or at least shoulders length.
I would get a razor cut, its going to thin your hair out and also give you that spunky look you want, I would also suggest using good ceramic hair straigtener and maybe a little texturizing spray to keep it smooth and flat. Good luck:)
do it like bloodrayne!
super hot
short just isnt really that cool if its thick to begin with, seriously try and keep it long as possible.
maybe cut some from underneath to lighten it up a bit and try and straighten a little but long hair just loooks better
Ask your hairdresser, also most places have books with styles you can look at. Pick a few styles and ask your hairdresser what the best style would be for your hair.

My hair is wavy, thick as well. I straighten it each morning to get it straight. Looks much better and doesn't take long... What you can do is cut the back short and spike it out and have the front long and cut up diagonal to meet up with the length in the back...really hard to explain..sorry. Thats what I had and this is a picture of me growing it out about a year ago!

i think you should cut ur hair up to ur shoulder .. and then use the '; BAD DAY MORNING TIGHTING HAIR SPRAY'; . . . buy it and use it in the morning .. omg ur hair would look so so so so so so pretty. becuz she BAD DAY MORNING TIGHTING HAIR SPRAY makes the hair really nice. hope this helps you =]What is the best haircut for really thick wavy long hair on a oval face?
Well maybe a 180 angle cut, or maybe even a 90 angle cut. You might want to layer out your hair which would be the 180 angle cut, and because you have an oval face you should use a center part because it works better.
I have hair like that that I have slightly layered. This allows for the curls to stay some what seperated and it is a lot easier to maintain.

Do it a cute bob... you can flat iron it but it looks cute w/ the wavy look to. Just add curly gel after you wash and it'll be a sexy wet look. Good luck:)
Swept bangs and a lot of layers in hair. :D

What's the best haircut for a heart face shape?
I not sure if i should get bangs or what and i want to keep it long still. And I have straight brown hair. What's the best haircut for a heart face shape?
Bangs can be very pretty and cute if you leave your hair down or styled. However, if you like to keep your hair up, you may want to get long bangs so that you do not have to worry about pinning them down. Personally, it is best to get bangs cut to your chin. This way, it is long enough for you to pull it back in a ponytail but is also stylish. If you are uncertain about the idea of getting short bangs, then you should get your hair angled. This way it won't take much time to grow out if you do not like it. Before you get it cut, ask the hairdresser what they believe looks best. I hope this helps :)
Remember to think of the following things:
~Do you want it to frame your face?
~Do you want it to add volume or thin it out?
~Are any different hair products needed to style it?
Sincerely,

Why do i take so long to make decisions regarding my haircut?
I have rather long locks for a male, and was considering a chop. I scour through the internet for ideas, and it takes forever.
Do you find, that after having longer hair for a long it while becomes an almost a religious/spiritual part of yourself?
Or should i just declare hell to these strands of keratin? Why do i take so long to make decisions regarding my haircut?
Hair is one of those things that really defines how a person looks, which is why we tend to be so sensitive about it. Have you ever seen a woman burst into tears after taking off 5 inches of hair? That's why. You pretty much just have to pick something that you think will look good, go to a decent hairdresser who will tell you if it won't, and just get it done. I am always stressed before getting my hair cut and I feel fine as soon as I see it. It's just that instinct to avoid change. Why do i take so long to make decisions regarding my haircut?
its just what you are used to. as humas we dont really like drastic changes and if you take pride in you hair, like anything , it can be hard to change.
That is one one the first things people notice is your hair. If it is too long, too short, not washed, frizzy, too much gray, straight or curly. So go ahead and take as long as you want to decide.
i decided to do something to make my self esteem plummet i cut off all my hair...im a girl...take as long as you wanna take
There is nothing religious nor spiritual in having long hair
no = not really. but hair is important it makes or breaks you thats probs why. a persons hair is their crwoning glory

My 14 month old son is about to have his first haircut. What are some good ways to keep a lock of his hair?
I thought about putting it in a ziploc baggy to put in his baby book, but that doesn't look very nice.My 14 month old son is about to have his first haircut. What are some good ways to keep a lock of his hair?
You know those gadgets that you can buy to laminate documents and other items that you want to keep? They sell them I think at office supply places like Staples etc. and WalMart might even have them. I think they are just called ';laminators'; (you might check on the net for info.) I've known people laminate all kinds of keepsakes inside the special plastic casing that you use with a laminator. Lock of hair preserved airtight this way, ought to keep it from deteriorarting, and should preserve the color too. Just a suggestion.
I don't have any idea what they cost, but I believe there are places (probably, again, an office supply place) where they'll laminate something for you for a small charge.
Another idea I just had was to take two flat pieces of very clear plastic, lay the lock of hair between them. Run a bead of glue around the edges of the lower bit of plastic, then press the edges of the upper piece to it, flattening the two as tight as you can, to express all the air. Lay something heavy on top and let the glue set for about 48 hours. A do-it-yourself lamination job. If you're a mite handy with the sewing maching, you could cover the edges of the plastic with two strips of ribbon, stitched together, in a double line of stitching along both edges of the ribbon, encasing the edges of the plasticMy 14 month old son is about to have his first haircut. What are some good ways to keep a lock of his hair?
We have a place here that specializes in kid's haircuts and they do a bunch of stuff for the first one (certificate, lock of hair, before and after pictures, balloon, etc). They use hairspray to keep the hair together and then put it in a small plastic bag - like another poster mentioned about a jewelry bag. The hairspray really helps to keep it together :)
Look around craft stores and in the scrapbook section. I would suggest maybe looking for a small shadow box to keep it in.
Place it in a ziploc bag or an envelope.
get yourself some mod-podge and lay the hair how you want it in the book and use a foam brush and brush it on. this will dry clear and will preserve the hair for a lifetime. also try to do two or three coats and let dry each time. place a piece of wax paper on the back of the page you are putting the hair so it doesn't moisten the other pages..i dont think it will but just to be safe. good luck and happy holidays=)
My mother just took a lock of my hair and taped it in my baby book. I was surprised it actually stayed put. You're right, Ziploc baggies don't look very nice in a baby book. I like the ribbon idea too. Hope you find a solution.
Happy Holidays!
You can always keep it in an envelope for more of an elegant look instead of a Ziploc bag. But if you really want to do something big, put it in a shadow box, or locket, you won't be able to keep it in the baby book though.
You could tie a baby blue ribbon around a few locks of hair and then have the barber cut it.
I remember my mom doing something like that to me when I was a kid (red ribbon), it was for school for some reason...
If you really want to keep the hair I would still suggest a bag, you can get small jewelry bags at the craft store. It needs to be kept out of the air and humidity, baby hair that is just tied up with a ribbon will get very brittle and break apart. You could also put jewelry bag into a small silk bag if you want to make it look nicer. The other option is putting the lock of hair into a locket, which used to be very common. Hair on one side, picture on the other.
Wal-Mart has a gift set with baby's 1st piggy bank and a little book and stuff and also it has a little tin ';baby's 1st hair cut'; it's adorable and that's what I put my daughter's in.
you know how they seal papers, maybe you can with hair.
take a before pic an after picture and his favourite rattle,,and the biggest lock of his hair you can get. arrange them in a shadow box and hang them in his room.
Ditto on the ribbon.
