What's the difference between getting your haircut normally vs. getting a razor cut?

I just want to know, just in case I am interested in getting a razor cutWhat's the difference between getting your haircut normally vs. getting a razor cut?
A regular cut is generally with scissors. A razor cut, as its name implies, uses a razor. Hair is pulled out in sections and is cut little by little with repetitive movements of the razor.

A razor cut creates better layers - they look more natural and even shaggy, as opposed to a straight line cut by regular scissors. It can look slightly choppy, and gives you a sort of on-purpose messy look. It works well for any kind of layers, or emo and scene type hairstyles. The great part is that a razor cut can give an edgy look, yet can still preserve a more conservative cut.

Also, a razor can be used to thin hair, because of course regular scissors would just chop the hair off completely and bluntly.

This is useful for thick hair, but flattering to most types regardless.

Oh, and razor cutting sometimes hurts because of the way the stylist pulls on your hair. It's not bad, though. What's the difference between getting your haircut normally vs. getting a razor cut?
it makes like layers look more choppy.. it works well for me cuz i have an emo cut and it have alot of layers and my hair is both thick and curly.
I get my hair cut, but for my layers it's razored.

It's to make it choppy, I guess?

My stylist uses it to thin out my hair, too.
razor cut adds more texture and gives a more choppy look.however if the hairstylist doesnt know how to use it properly your hair can become bitty and whispy x
Razor cut with leave you with a ';messy'; look. It works well with thick and/or curly. So if you looking for a bob..........
Well normally can mean many things depending on where your located. but razor cut means your using a razor(duhhh) so id imagine if you got a razor cut then that would be getting all of your hair cut off so you only have scalp and no hair at all.

I'd assume the normal haircut means that you would get a haircut that can use a variety of tools including but not limited too, scissors, shaver, hair clips, apron, dye,.
